The largest trullo is called Sovereign Trullo.
It is located north of the town, behind the church of Saints Cosma and Damiano, and represents the most advanced example of trullo on two floors. The building is a museum and you can visit the interior, decorated in a vintage style, reconstructed through the testimonies of the older inhabitants. The majestic conical dome, about 14 meters high, stands imposingly in the middle of a group of twelve cones. It was built in the first half of the eighteenth century on behalf of the wealthy family of priest Cataldo Perta.
During the summer, the Sovereign Trullo hosts events such as concerts of small orchestras or jazz bands, culture and poetry evenings.
